Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #2.1 is Live – Saved Game Fixes, Cross-Saves Re-Enabled

Just 2 days after the Hotfix #2, Baldur’s Gate 3 has dropped Hotfix #2.1. This one is much smaller than the last, essentially just fixing some issues with Save Game data (probably the reason this is #2 and not #2.1), but it is good to know that now there will be no risk of a save file “growing too large,” which was an issue that was plaguing a few players who had made exceptionally many choices. Aside from that, cross-saves between platforms have now been reactivated in preparation for the PlayStation 5 launch.

Here is the full list of notes for Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #2.1:

CHANGES

  • Fixed an issue with save games that could occur if a save file grew too large.
  • Re-enabled Larian Cloud savegames.

Yes, that’s really it. Two very important changes, and nothing more. Looks like they are saving the number “3” for something a bit beefier (not that we are complaining). That’s all for now; after all, you still have most of Faerûn to explore!
