Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #24 – Give It a (Short) Rest!

Hotfix #24 for Baldur’s Gate 3 dropped today, with a relatively modest amount of fixes. Primarily, the Hotfix patched a bug which was preventing parties from being able to take a short rest, but it also removed a potential crash, fixed a certain brainlike friend from appearing where it shouldn’t, and fixed an issue that was causing reduced performance on Mac.

But don’t take our word for it: here is the Change Log for Baldur’s Gate 3’s Hotfix #24

Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #24

  • Fixed a crash that could occur after the cinematic that plays when transitioning from Act II to Act III.
  • Fixed an issue preventing you from taking a Short Rest when having added and dismissed Us with a companion party member and then loaded certain savegames.
  • Fixed Us appearing at camp and near other waypoints when that didn’t make sense.
  • Fixed an issue introduced in Hotfix 21 causing reduced performance on Mac.

See, I told you we weren’t making it up! Now, after that long and arduous Hotfix, I feel like I need a breather. Time for a short rest, I suppose.
