Deus Ex: Invisible War Review

eToyChest has posted a fairly negative review of Deus Ex: Invisible War, giving the sequel an overall score of 2.5/5. Check it out:

Deus Ex: Invisible War isn’t the worst game I’ve ever played, by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s simply not very good either. It absolutely defines mediocrity. I did enjoy being able to choose how to tackle a particular situation, and the game is occasionally brilliant in this regard, but apart from that, there’s just not much here to recommend. The few things I did like were dragged down by extreme technical issues, a boring plot, a poorly-written script, severely dumbed-down gameplay and a general level of stupidity in the game-design. There’s fun to be had here, but it’s a bargain bin kind of fun. It almost pains me to be saying these things about the sequel to one of the best games I’ve ever played, but it’s the truth.
