Background

You’ll trigger this task when you examine the clip of your ledger. You’ll find your Damaged Ledger inside the locked trash container behind the Whirling-in-Rags. See the Open Trash Container task for how to get the container open.

Walkthrough

To read the watermarks on your ledger, you’ll need to go to Kim’s car outside the Whirling-in-Rags and turn on the headlights (this requires Kim to be with you, or else his car won’t be there). When you move around to the front of the car and stand in the glow of the headlights, a thought orb should appear over your head. Clicking on it will allow you to see a summary of your police record (the perforations in the watermark). Between you and Kim, you’ll learn that you’ve been a police officer for 18 years, you’ve closed around 200 cases, and you’ve killed three people.

At the end of your conversation with Kim, you’ll earn 10 xp, and he’ll turn off the headlights.
