Champion Academy Walkthrough

Champion Academy is the place where last part of the main quest To Find a Wizard takes place. Having found all the needed clues, you’re ready to go and reveal Behrlihn’s prison. As you enter, you should head to the eastern section first (#2), as you’ll need a special item from there before being able to complete the other challenges.

After pulling the lever in the large hall at #3, a few zombies will spawn which you need to defeat. After they’re done, head back upstairs and then right to pull another lever (#4). This one will spawn a special armored zombie called Theofolus. Slay him and then loot the Helmet of Secrets from the newly spawned chest.

Next thing you should do is head to #5, by backtracking all the way to the entrance hall and then going upstairs and then right. Put on the newly acquired helmet to reveal a lever at #6. This lever spawns three new platforms in the same room. In order to reach them, jump on the bed with the canopy first and then onto the platform. At the end, you’ll find a Blue Moon orb.

Now head to the other part of the academy, but stop and turn left where you’ll find a Violet Blast orb (#7), after traversing a blue glimmering pathway revealed by the helmet.

You’ll find the Fire God orb in the room at #8, by stepping on the pressure plates in correct order. If you take the glowing one as the point of reference, stand on the one to the left of it, then the one diagonal to it then the glowing one and finally the remaining fourth pressure plate. This will cause the orb to spawn on the table nearby.

With your helmet still on, pull the levers at #9 until they glow with the correct colour. The first one (meaning closest to the entrance of the room) should cause a green glow, the second one blue and the third one is red. This order will cause White Snow orb to spawn at the altar (#10).

After collecting that orb, head back to the ground level in the entrance hall. If you wear the helmet, the wall at #11 will disappear, opening up another wing of the academy. When you head over to #12, make sure to save your game, as if you jump over the locked door, you’ll get trapped behind, so don’t jump there. Take off your helmet and jump on the brown platforms instead, that lead towards the abyss in the previous hall and then jump on stone platform.

Once you’ve reached that, put on the helmet again and you’ll reveal two glowing platforms that lead towards the cage. After crossing them, jump on another stone platform on the other wall. Put off the helmet again and jump onto the remaining platforms to reach the Moss Rat orb. Now you can fall down into the abyss (you won’t take any falling damage) and then put the orbs onto correct rune slots (#13). White Snow orb goes onto Mountain rune, Blue Moon on Shield, Violet Blast on Gold, Moss Rat on Death and finally Fire God on Snake.

This will open Antediluvian Vault nearby. After you enter the vault, you’ll be stopped by Bellegar (#14), who’ll hold another one of his rhyming speeches. Rhode has also reached this far, but was turned into stone. Soon enough, you’ll enter a fight against Bellegar. Make sure to focus on his summons and not onto him, as you can’t really hit him. After several waves, he’ll teleport away.

Go to the last room (#15) if you do not need any experience. All the other corridors in this dungeon are just filled with enemies and nearly nothing else. Bellegar will spawn once more in there and propose a deal. If you accept to side with him, you’ll receive his device (which can help you out a bit later) and if you do not, you’ll free Behrlihn and then he’ll turn onto you in the last battle of the game, which makes you face two enemies at once, him and Ygerna. It’s your choice. Either way, you’ll get the Eye of the Patriarch, the item you need in order to defeat the Black Ring a bit later.

If you free Behrlihn, Willy will show up here and he’ll get polymorphed into a chicken. Either way, with the Eye of the Patriarch now in your possession, you’ll be teleported back to Augustus in the city, which ends your adventure here in the vault.
