High Hall Mines Walkthrough

Upon entering the location, you’ll gain two squires if you’re on the quest The Runes of Wrath. There are two entrances fairly close to each other, accessed from #X on the large overview map.

Besides the quest objective, there’s not a whole lot to acquire down here, save for a few droxlerite and venom stone ore veins and a dragon skill book found besides the locked chest at #5. The key to the chest is located in the cage on a body above the lave. Make use of the pillar to reach it.

Soon enough, you’ll reach a barrier at #2 guarded by a big troll. Make sure to loot him for a set of magical spheres. As you cannot pass the barrier, you’ll need to go around it, near the elevator at #6.

The first floor up by the elevator (#4) leads to the chamber with Mundus. There are three ways to resolve this situation: either slaughter them all, or mindread Mundus to learn where that he knows about a friendship rune, or alternatively bring him the chicken rune from the Primordial Cave behind the waterfall. That way, he’ll leave the town in peace and won’t pester them with trolls anymore, as he can make his own food. In case of the second option, they’ll kill each other and the rune gets destroyed. Either way you pick, it completes the quest. There’s a skillbook to be found on one of the tables nearby. Return back to Quintus to complete the quest.
