Kali’s Fortress Walkthrough

Kali’s Flying Fortress is located by flying into the ravine marked by #17 on the dungeon map. This fortress is also the one where the second quest received from either skill trainer is concluded. Besides that, the golden chests found around seem to have increased chance to drop top-level enchanting and alchemy formulae, along with other useful items.

As you head out from the entrance (#1), start clearing up all the towers and nests first to get a lot of experience. While clearing around the main platform, be sure to drop into Kali’s Storage (#2). There’s a chest to be found at the end of it, containing random high-level items (#3).

The main objective in this region is Kali (#8) herself, hidden inside her headquarters accessed from the teleport at #4 on the southern platform. Once inside, make sure to pull the levers on the left and right side (#5) to open the doors that lead further into the castle.

The door (#7) to Kali’s room will be locked. You’ll need to grab the key at the end of the other corridor (#6) first. Once inside, Kali will make a speech and commence the fight. Make sure to mindread her if you want her to drop the helmet from the Ulthring’s set. Once she dies, she’ll drop several nice items, along with a book called The Demon Wars and a sword called Myrthos. The sword is the objective of the quest Murder for Myrthos (given by Hermosa) and the book is the objective for the other quest By the Book (given by Kenneth).

Once you’ve cleared the place out, just exit it the way you came from.
