Necromancers’ Quests Walkthrough

This page lists the quests that you can get from your necromancer at his platform in the Battle Tower. The (J) mark denotes that the quest is specifically received from Joneloth only, while the ones with (I) are from Igor.

Out on a Limb (J)

If you picked Joneloth as your necromancer, ask him whether there’s anything you can do to enhance his work. He’ll respond that there’s a certain creature in Orobas Fjord whose limbs might prove useful into making a stronger minion.

The creature he talks about resides in the southeast of Orobas Fjords, inside a place called Bone Burrow (#1). The place is fairly straightforward: after a descent into the lower part, the way to the right has a minor treasure chest and the way to the left leads to a creature called Ultimate Creature Boss. He tends to hit hard and has a rushing attack, so take caution. There are also a few minions of his in the same room so try to pull them separately and split the fights into smaller parts. Once he’s down, you’ll automatically get to choose a body part.

Talk to Joneloth and Sassan about it to receive the follow-up. You’ll receive a skill book as well as a reward.

Risk Life for Limb (J)

The second quest from Joneloth will have you travel to Stone’s Flying Fortress in order to find a necromancer named Xanlosch. Check the designated page on how to do that. The entrance to the fortress is located at #3.

He’s found midway into the dungeon, along with his pet Isabelle. After you defeat him, you’ll get to pick one limb right away and then return to Joneloth. He’ll commend you on your achievement and now you can talk to Sassan in order to upgrade the platform to the final level. You’ll also receive a skill book during the process.

The Book of the Dead (I)

If you picked Igor to be your necromancer, talk to him about any improvements that can be made for the necromancer’s platform. He’ll mention a very powerful necromancer’s spellbook, which is currently in Barnabu’s possession.

You’ll find Barnabus in his Sinister Cavern. The entrance to it is located at #2. His cavern is not the easiest one to navigate out there, so just check out the assorted page for further information on the quest. The book is found in the room accessed by the southernmost teleporter. Once done, just return to Igor and then talk to Sassan to learn about the parts that you’ve upgraded the platform with. You’ll get a skill book as well for your efforts.

Black Ring’s Ring (I)

Igor’s second quest also has you traveling to the Stone’s Flying Fortress (#3), however with a slightly bigger ambition – you’ll need to acquire the Black Ring’s ring, worn by Stone himself.

Check out the dungeon page for on how to get to Stone and then once you fight him in the grand arena, loot the ring off his body along with the other useful items. Simply return to Igor and hand over the ring. He’ll be extremely happy and you’ll only need to talk to Sassan in order to get the platform upgraded. A skill book will also be awarded after the quest finishes.
