Area Overview

This overview contains all the important points of interest throughout the Sentinel Island.

1 – Maxos’ Temple Entrance

This is the entrance you’ll come out from once you start out in the Sentinel Island.

2 – Island

Island is a unique entity who introduces you to the basics of the Battle Tower and your goal on the Sentinel Island. Be sure to mindread her during the conversation to gain experience equal to the amount you need to level up. It’s involved in the quest The Prophecy.

Once you meet her again after you finish her main quest, be sure to mindread her again to gain additional skill point.

3 – Hermit

The hermit is a trader. He can be mindread to reduce his prices and he gives the quest From Soup to Nuts.

4 – Jonah

Jonah is a ghost fisherman who starts the quest The Old Ghost and the Sea. He can be mindread to reveal (spawn) a new chest in Vacca’s Cave (#7), holding some treasures that Laiken has left behind.

5 – Sassan’s Grave

Sassan’s Grave is explored during the main quest Candles in the Wind.

6 – Forlorn Cave

Forlorn Cave’s entrance is hidden underwater and is accessed from the western side of the small peninsula. It’s further explored in the side quest Sibling Rivalry.

7 – Vacca

Vacca is a friendly Dragon Elf. He starts the quest The Ghostbuster.

8 – Wyvern Nest

This wyvern nest contains the eggs needed for the Hermit in his quest From Soup to Nuts.

9 – Companion Totems

Throughout the island, you’ll see a few cinematics where green glowing totems will rise up from the ground. They are objectives of the quest The Prophecy, which involves chosing the crew for your Battle Tower.

10 – Wesson

Wesson is one of the two potential enchanters. He’s involved in the main quest The Prophecy.

11 – Jonelath, Igor

Jonelath and Igor are the necromancers, Jonelath being the master and Igore the apprentice. You’ll be able to pick between them during the quest The Prophecy.

12 – Catherine

Catherine Gremory is an archaeologist, just like her brother George in the Broken Valley. She starts the quest The Writing on the Whale.

You can mindread her to learn a new piece of information about the Gremorys’ family treasury. If you mindread George in the Broken Valley, that will make it 2 out of 3 pieces of information. The third family member will be found in Orobas Fjords.

13 – Allan

Allan is one of the two alchemists for the quest The Prophecy. However, judging by the books scattered around his location, he’s not a real alchemist, but just happens to be a practitioner of the art.

14 – Laiken’s Old Study Entrance

This area is explored for the main quest The Second Coming, when Sassan sends you inside to grab a ring that will ressurect her.

15 – Barbatos, Turgoyn

Barbatos is one of the potential alchemists and crewmen for the Battle Tower in the quest The Prophecy.

Turgoyn gives the side quest Legend of the Ancient Mariner, however, the quest can only be completed once you gain the dragon form as it requires flying over a set of obstacles.

16 – Sam

Sam is a trader from Hermosa’s crew. He can be mindread to reduce his prices and then you can give him Desert Roots for additional reduction.

17 – Radcliffe, Hermosa

Radcliffe is one of the two enchanters involved in the quest The Prophecy.

Hermosa is the skill trainer involved in the same quest (The Prophecy). She also starts the side quest Man Overboard.

18 – Elfrith

Elfrith is the trapped man, sitting on the column just a bit south of the camp. He’s the objective of the quest Man Overboard.

19 – Kenneth

Kenneth is the other skill trainer and potential crew member for the Battle Tower, making him involved in the quest The Prophecy.

20 – Ancient Journal

This shipwreck is the location where you’ll find the journal for Turgoyn in the side quest Legend of the Ancient Mariner.

21 – Wyvern Nest

There’s another wyvern nest located in the southwest. You can cross it in the similar fashion as the one in the quest and a treasure chest waits atop.

22 – Michael’s Rafter, Shipwreck

Once you take up dragon form, you can explore the small landpieces scattered around the island. There are a few interesting things to be found, mainly in the northeast. They locations themselves go beyond the in-game map, but if you keep the course that way, you’ll come across Michael’s rafter and a shipwreck with some goodies.
