Walkthrough

The game will start with your old friend, Ardo of Boarstock, asking you to visit him in Ferdok because “dark times” have befallen him, and only an “unknown face” will be able to help him out. However, when you reach Avestrue, you’ll learn from Sergeant Erland (#1) that Ferdok has been closed off, and that you’ll need to find two attestors (not including Ardo) to vouch for you so you can enter the city.

The two attestors are Salina (#2) and Rakorium (inside the mineshaft at #3). You’ll need to complete the quest The Diadem and the Lover to gain Salina’s support, and you’ll need to complete the quest The Missing Magician to gain Rakorium’s support.

Once you’ve gained the two attestors, when you speak to Tollkeeper Nandor (#4), he’ll give you a Pass for Ferdok, and you’ll also receive 30 experience points. Then the guardsman on the bridge will move aside, allowing you to leave for Ferdok. But note: You won’t be allowed to return to Avestrue, so be sure to complete all of the side quests there first.

When you arrive at Ferdok, the guard at the gate will tell you that Ferdok has been closed because of a recent rash of gruesome killings, but then he’ll take your pass from you and allow you to go inside. You’ll also receive 20 experience points.

To complete the quest, you’ll just need to walk over to Ardo’s house. When you get there you’ll receive 20 more experience pints, but you’ll also encounter a guard at the door who won’t allow you to pass. He’ll tell you that Ardo was one of the murder victims, and that his house is currently being searched for the murder investigation.
