Investigations at the Harbor – Drakensang: The Dark Eye Quest

Background

You’ll receive this quest at the end of the quest Murders in Ferdok, when Regent Dariana (#1) orders you to look into the two trading companies in the harbor to learn more about what Ardo was up to when he died.

Walkthrough

This is a fairly short quest. All you’ll need to do is pick one of the companies, either the Stoerrebrandt Trading Company or the Neisbeck Trading Company. However, you won’t receive any information to help you with your decision. Your companions, for example, will just tell you some stories about how the companies have been battling each other (usually by underhanded means). They won’t give you any hints about which one might be better for you. But in general, the Stoerrebrandts are the good guys and the Neisbecks are the bad guys, and the tasks they give you will reflect their alignment.

If you decide to work for the Stoerrebrandt Trading Company, then you should accept the quest from Laran Dykemiller (#2). If you decide to work for the Neisbeck Trading Company, then you should accept the quest from Pagel Babek (#3). Just accepting the quest (not completing it) will pick the company that you’re going to infiltrate, although you’ll be given a chance to change your mind before the end of the investigation.

When you choose a trading company, you’ll be given the quest For a Handful of Ducats, which will change depending on the company that you’re working for. After completing the first task in that quest, you’ll be told to report to Regent Dariana (#1), which will complete this quest and earn you 20 experience points.
