Background

At the Rukkenvahl chapterhouse, you found the body of a would-be thief. He was searching for a secret treasure room, said to be hidden behind a large bookcase containing genealogies of all the great Legion families. If the three missing books are returned to the bookcase, the treasure room will be revealed.

Walkthrough

You’ll trigger this quest when you examine the corpse of a man named Andrei just outside the Legion Chapterhouse in the East Forest (#1). Examining the corpse will also give you the lore entry for Thief’s Letter.

Find the Montbarron Genealogy

You’ll find this genealogy guarded by a dakkenweyr and some wolves (#2). Picking up the genealogy will give you the lore entry for The House of Montbarron.

Find the Gunderic Genealogy

You’ll find this genealogy guarded by an elder drakkenweyr and some wolves (#3). Picking up the genealogy will give you the lore entry for The House of Gunderic.

Find the Manx Genealogy

You’ll find this genealogy in the Shadowrift Cavern guarded by spiders (#4). Picking up the genealogy will give you the lore entry for the House of Manx.

Return the Lost Books

Once you’ve collected the three genealogies (#2-4), you’ll need to take them to the bookcase on the upper level of the Legion Chapterhouse (#5). When you place the genealogies in the bookcase, it will open up, revealing a secret room. Inside the secret room you’ll find a treasure chest containing a Raven Ring and more. For completing the quest, you’ll also receive 383 xp.
