In Search of Solitude – Dungeon Siege III Main Quest

This guide provides a walkthrough for a main quest in part 3 of Dungeon Siege III. Along with the walkthrough is a map and legend, which provides additional information.

Background

Ibsen will show you the way to Glitterdelve, but only if you help him first. He asked you to collapse three Stonestream conduits, cutting off the magic that prevents his waterfall from freezing over.

Walkthrough

You’ll receive this quest from Ibsen (#1) the first time you talk to him.

Close the First Stonestream Conduit

You’ll encounter an Elder Frost Dakkenweyr next to the first stonestream conduit (#2).

Close the Second Stonestream Conduit

You’ll find the second stonestream conduit on the western side of the pass (#3).

Close the Third Stonestream Conduit

You’ll find the third stonestream conduit on the western side of the pass (#4), past the second conduit (#3).

Talk to Ibsen

When you return to Ibsen after closing the conduits, you’ll receive 1073 xp, and Ibsen will show you how to make your way through the pass, which will remove the looping exit (Exit A) and allow you to proceed to the Glitterdelve Mine. Ibsen will also give you the side quest Ibsen’s Cave.
