Elden Ring Hotfix 1.04.1 Fixes Bugs, Improves Stability

…Or at least, it’s supposed to. Despite today’s update, which is supposed to improve the game’s stability, many players are still experiencing crashes and difficulty summoning co-op partners. Still, it’s nice that FromSoft is clearly aware of the issue and continuing to work on it. While Elden Ring has — in this author’s humble opinion — exceeded expectations in most areas, the game has had a disappointing amount of crashes and stuttering problems. Getting a co-op session to last more than a few minutes has also been harder than in any previous FromSoft title.

On top of the stability fix are a few bug fixes, including a non-specific fix for “some bosses” that would die when they weren’t supposed to. It seems likely that this could be the Fire Giant’s propensity for killing itself; the Valiant Gargoyle Duo cheese may also have been removed in this fix, although we haven’t had a chance to test it yet ourselves.
