Elden Ring’s PC System Requirements Revealed

The voices of a million toaster-users cried out in joy today when today’s tweet from the official Elden Ring Twitter unveiled the game’s system requirements:

Many had already speculated that a top-of-the-line system wouldn’t be necessary to run Elden Ring, given that the game is releasing on last-gen consoles. Still, it must have been a relief to learn that you don’t even need 16GB of RAM to venture to the Lands Between.

Also of note is the storage space required, which is almost three times as much as required for Dark Souls 3. We know there are higher-quality textures in the game, but this may also suggest that the game simply has more Miyazaki goodness packed into it (at least that’s how we’re choosing to interpret the storage requirements).

If you aren’t sure how to check your system specs, type dxdiag into the Windows 10 search bar and hit enter — this should bring up the DirectX Diagnostic tool. The first tab shows you your general system specs, while the second tab (Display 1) will let you see what kind of graphics you’re working with. You’ve still got 10 days to upgrade, though the current market for graphics cards won’t do you any favors.
