  • Numerous Hidden Caches (#1)

Overview

1 – Hidden Caches

With enough points in the Spot Hidden skill (or with enough patience), you’ll find 27 secret caches scattered throughout the caves. If you loot them all, then you’ll pick up 6 Diamond Chips, 7 Small Emeralds, 7 Small Rubies, 2 Large Diamonds, 4 Large Emeralds, and 1 Large Ruby.

2 – Powder Kegs

There are four Powder Kegs in the caves. You should save one for the wall (#8) blocking the entrance to Fathamurk (Exit C), and another for a weak rock (#5), but the other two you can use freely.

3 – Gate

To open this gate, you’ll need to pull the lever on the southern side.

4 – Adamantium Ore

In a bag here you’ll find some Adamantium Ore, which you’ll need for the quest Adamantium Ore Else.

5 – Weak Rock

You can use a Powder Keg (#2) to blow up this rock, which will allow you to access more of the cave system.

6 – Electrified Gate

If you stand in this gate, then you’ll take electrical damage. To turn off the gate, you’ll need to pull the lever on the northern side. If you have a ranged attack, then you can hit the lever without going through the gate. Otherwise, you’ll just have to take your lumps to reach the lever.

7 – Jawbreaker the Blacksmith

Jawbreaker is a big, slow melee boss. He has over 350 hit points, but he only moves at half speed, and so if you have ranged attacks, then you should be able to stay away from him and ping him to death. If you’re playing a melee character, then you’ll either need to take some potions with you to the battle, or you’ll have to wait a while until you can handle him.

After defeating Jawbreaker, you’ll find three alchemy recipes on the tables of his smithy (for fire damage, freeze damage, and poison damage). You’ll also find a high quality but locked random treasure chest ($) in the back.

8 – Wall

To get past this wall, you’ll need to destroy the barrel next to it and then place a Powder Keg (#2) where the barrel was. Then when you blow up the keg, you’ll also blow a hole in the wall.

Local Exits

A – Exit to the Central Farrock Range

B – Exit to the Northern Farrock Range

C – Stairs to Fathamurk

Fathamurk is a tough place. We wouldn’t recommend visiting it until you’re around Level 20.
