Background

You’ll receive this quest from Erubor when you leave the Akadai Underworld with the Crux of Terra.

Walkthrough

Erubor will reveal that Malkur and the Orakur are from Eschalon’s future, and that a “horrible event” is on the horizon. The Orakur would like to prevent this event from happening, but Malkur doesn’t think his people should change the past. That’s why everybody is looking for the crux stones, since the crux stones can be used to stop the event or return the Orakur to their time.

With time running out, Erubor will encourage you to make haste to Alundar and Karamiklan in the Astral Range. Most of the roads leading to this range have been blocked off, leaving you with only one route available. You’ll have to pass through Omentor Temple in the Valley of the Wanderer, which will require you to find four special widgets:

The widgets will act like keys and allow you to pass through certain gates in the temple. You’ll need to find all four widgets in order to make your way through the temple and reach the Western Astral Range.

When you eventually encounter Alundar in Alundar’s Domain (#1), you’ll get a dialogue option to trade with him. This will allow you to exchange the Akadai Kingspawn Head or the Akadai Withered Head for a chance to meet with Karamiklan. Either head will work, regardless of the quests you completed the reach this point. When Alundar receives the head, he’ll open up the passage to his dungeon (Exit A), where you’ll find Karamiklan. This will complete the quest and earn you 5000 or 10,000 xp.

Note: Depending on the version of the game you’re playing, you might be able to talk to Alundar a second time and turn in the other head as well. You’ll receive 5000 or 10,000 xp for it, too.
