Overview

1 – Geo Marker

This geo marker will add the Castle Ruins to your Quick Travel menu.

2 – Powder Kegs

You’ll find three Powder Kegs on the wooden float here. There isn’t any way to reach the kegs, but if you shoot one of them, then you’ll start a chain reaction that will blow a hole in the wooden wall blocking access to the castle.

3 – Front Gate

You won’t be able to use this gate when you first arrive at the castle. Instead, you’ll have to circle around to the opening in the wall (#5), which will allow you to enter the castle and make your way to the room opposite the nearby lever (#4). Shooting that lever through the two gates in the way will open up the front gate and allow you to explore the rest of the castle.

4 – Lever

This lever controls the front gate (#3).

5 – Wall Opening

You’ll be able to enter the castle via this opening.

6 – Secret Area

If you circle around the outside of the castle all the way to this point, then you’ll find a secret area.

7 – Levers

You’ll find two levers in this room. The lever on the left will open the gate blocking access to the staircase leading down to the Ruined Castle Dungeon (Exit A). The lever on the right will open the gate leading to the two chests — and the three goblins — in the room to the south (#8). If you have a ranged attack, then you can make the battle against the goblins to the south easier by shooting at them through the windows between the two rooms.

8 – Chests

You’ll find two chests here. One is random, but in the other you can find upwards of 700 gp.

Local Exit

A – Stairs Down to the Ruined Castle Dungeon

World Exits

North – Oceana Lowlands

West – Deadman’s Strand
