  1. Strange-Looking Water Plant

Background

You’ll receive this quest from the Akadai Kingspawn in the East Mirkland Delta, but only if you talk to him and learn that a crux stone is hidden in the Akadai Underworld in Mirkland.

Walkthrough

The Akadai Kingspawn will tell you that he no longer wants the crux stone anywhere near his tribe, and so he’ll ask you to take it away. To help you out, he’ll give you an Akadai Gland, which will cause the strange-looking water plant in Mirkland to recognize you as an Akadai and deposit you in the Akadai Underworld (Exit A).

While you’re in the Akadai Underworld, you’ll discover three giant clams lined up next to a closed gate (#1). If you look at the signs behind the clams, then you’ll see (from left to right) a red square, a green square, and a white square. That means you’ll need to place a Large Ruby, a Large Emerald, and a Large Diamond inside the clams. Conveniently, you’ll find all three of these gemstones in the Akadai Underworld (#2). When you place the correct gemstone inside a clam, it will snap shut, letting you know that you’ve fulfilled its need. Then when you’ve placed the correct gemstone in all three clams, the gate next to the clams will open up and you’ll earn 500 xp.

Past the gate, you’ll have to fight three Fetid Grubbs. The grubbs will drop Fetid Grubb Tumors when they die. If you take a tumor to the strange-looking water plant in the Akadai Underworld (Exit A), then it will act as an exit and return you to Mirkland. Past the grubbs, you’ll come to a giant clam containing the Crux of Terra (#3). Looting the crux stone will complete the quest and earn you 3000 xp.
