ESO Infographic and New Cinematic Trailer

ESO Infographic

In case you were wondering, you’d have to kill 119,050 mudcrabs in The Elder Scrolls Online to reach level 50. I don’t know about you, but I say bring ’em on! This little informational nugget, along with several more, can be found in The Elder Scrolls Online: By the Numbers infographic that highlights fun facts and stats about the recently released MMORPG.

They say you learn something new everyday. Besides the dead mudcrab/ level 50 ratio, you can learn how many hours it would take to read all 2,235 books in the game, as well as how many cups of coffee the ZeniMax Online team drank during ESO’s creation. Will these facts help you during your Tamriel adventures? Probably not, but they’ll make for some very interesting table conversation at dinner.

New Cinematic Trailer

After pondering all the fun facts in The Elder Scrolls Online: By the Numbers, you might want to checkout “The Siege,” the newly released cinematic trailer that shows a war torn Cyrodiil. The trailer runs about 5 1/2 minutes, and is part of ESO’s cinematic series.

So how’s the trailer? In a word: intense. “The Siege” has a full soundtrack and special effects worthy of any blockbuster movie (and speaking of movies, when are they going to make a Skyrim movie — we all know it’d be epic!). The trailer was released on the Bethesda Softworks YouTube channel as part of yesterday’s launch to help promote The Elder Scrolls Online. According to the teaser:

Tamriel faces annihilation. Molag Bal has claimed the Imperial City while the alliances, locked in a bitter conflict with one another, struggle to seize the Ruby Throne from the clutches of Oblivion. In the latest in our cinematic series, travel to the ravaged battlefield of Cyrodiil and join the fight today in The Elder Scrolls Online!
