Once you’ve become an evil cultist during the The Temple of Shadows quest, you’ll now have access to the Wheel of Misfortune on the lower level of the dark abode. Its purpose? To gruesomely kill any Albionite you lead into the sacrificial circle in front of it. Alastair (the cultist standing by the wheel) explains that you’ll gain Shadow Loyalty Points for each sacrifice, and gaining enough of such points will entitle you to a “quite smashing prize.”

Go ahead and loot the Shadow-worshipper Robes and Shadow-worshipper Mask in the nearby chest and starting rounding up some of Albion’s citizens. To earn the most loyalty points, you should try luring some of the monks from the Temple of Light in Oakfield (they’re worth about twice as much as a standard citizen). You’ll earn even more points if you make the sacrifices at night.

Once you have a group of followers, simply lead them into the circle and pull the wheel’s lever. The bewildered townsfolk will end up impaled, decapitated, reduced to ash, shocked, transformed into a chicken, gender changed, or some other fun little effect. Upon earning 2000 Shadow Loyalty Points, Alastair points out that the temple is very impressed by all your sacrifices. You can now participate in the Rite of Unhallowed Wickedness by making “a truly evil sacrifice at the hour of mystical midnight.”

To fulfill this requirement, you’ll have to get married. Simply find someone in a nearby town that’s willing to be wooed, perform some expressions for them until you max out their friendship meter, and then pop the question with a ring. Once you’ve chosen your marital home, you can now have your spouse follow you back to the sacrificial circle. When the clock strikes midnight (and before it reaches 1:00 AM), pull the lever and make the ultimate sacrifice to earn a legendary sword called The Maelstrom. There is no one unholier than thou!
