The Temple of Shadows Walkthrough

This quest first becomes available after the Rookridge bridge is repaired at the conclusion of the A Bridge Too Far quest. Feeling a little evil? If so, pay a visit to the Temple of Shadows in the northwest section of Rookridge. There you’ll meet a dark-robed monk who tells you that all potential members must perform an “abominable act of supreme evil”. Yes, to join the cult, you must do the unthinkable and eat five Crunchy Chicks. The cultist provides all five specimens, so don’t worry about running out and buying them.

With feathers and all down the hatch, your next objective is to speak to the head of the Temple of Shadows. Go inside the temple grounds and take the winding stone staircase to the lower level. Here, you’ll have the privilege to meet Cornelius Grim, the temple’s fear-inspiring chaplain. He tells you a bit about the cult, even pointing out that Friday is poker night, before mentioning the Wheel of Misfortune. This sinister device lies in the room ahead of you and can be used to slay any unwitting followers that you lure to the temple. At this point, the quest will switch over to Sacrificing to the Shadows.
