5 Fallout 4 Mods For This Festive Season

Fallout 4 has given us many useful and handy mods over the last year. However, since it is the holiday season, I wanted to quickly share with you some of the more festive mods. So here we are, ladies and gentlemen: 5 Fallout 4 mods that you should use this Christmas and New Year. Links to all of these mods will be at the end.

1.Fallout 4 Seasons Project Mod

This one isn’t really a festive mod. However, I wanted to put this on the list because it seemed so fitting. What better way to get yourself in the mood for winter than making it Winter in game. With this mod, you can pick one of the four seasons and the world will change with it. So, why not download this mod and watch as the Commonwealth transforms into a beautiful winter wonderland. There will be snow underfoot and on tree tops. Yes, the Wasteland won’t really be any the better for it. Every creature and raider still wants to skin you alive. But, at least you can feel a little more festive with this one.

2. Diamond City Christmas Radio Mod

This is a replacing mod, so that you can listen to lore friendly Christmas music while you murder people in the Commonwealth. There is another Christmas radio mod which adds an additional radio station rather than replacing the Diamond City one. However, this one felt more realistic to me. Much like nowadays, the radio stations start to play all the classic Christmas songs; now you can experience this in game! It swaps the songs on the radio station for 74 festive ones. Now, you can enjoy the merriment wherever you go.

3. Improved Christmas Trees

So, we already had Christmas trees available in game. This mod simply adds a couple more variants to the game. You can choose from either the classic green or a snowy white tree that is adorned with decorations. Unlike the regular tree that comes with the game, the lights on these trees are much more subtle and yet are still beautiful. They come in three sizes: the regular size, then a slightly larger version and finally, an extra large version. Although they all have a similar look, this means you can fill whatever type of space you may have.

4. The Christmas Mod

This one is by far my favourite. With this mod, you can add a whole new bunch of festive themed items, clothing and even food to your game. Some are craftable, others you can find throughout the Wasteland. If you were looking for the perfect Christmas Mod, then I think this would be it. You can place stockings up on the wall, add presents under your Christmas tree. There is even the option of creating your own festive clothing and food to really get you in the mood. I mixed this one with the Improved Christmas Trees mod as well as the Christmas radio. Who wouldn’t want to decorate their player home while listening to some classic festive tunes?

5. Santa Claus Power Armour Skin

This one is a little different, but I wanted to add it onto this list. Perhaps you have a bunch of power armour. Your settlement is decorated with many of the aforementioned mods and you are gleefully listening to your Christmas radio. However, something still feels like it is missing. What could it be? You look over to your power armour stations and realise. Your power armour is not festive enough! What you need is the Santa Claus Power Armour Skin mod. This is a re-skin for all four power armour types to give it a red and white festive look. It does also come with the words “Ho-Ho-Ho” written across the chest but this is easily removable. I personally really like the look of this one and it even comes with a re-skin for the mini-gun which makes it look like a candy cane. So, if you are wanting to spread that festive cheer by adorning your power armour and killing some ghouls with a candy cane mini-gun; this mod is for you.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen; 5 festive mods that will add just a bit more sparkle to your game. All of these can be found on the Nexus Forum so make sure to check them out. And if not, there is always next year. Happy Holidays!
