3 – Gate

This gate will start out locked. You’ll need to unlock it in the nearby security office (#4).

4 – Security Office (Upper Level)

Inside the security office, you’ll find a safe with a random mod inside, a computer that you can hack to open the gate to the lower level (#3), a switch that you can bypass to turn off the cameras, and some cash and a random mod lying out in plain sight.

5 – Mod (Lower Level)

You’ll find a random mod here.

6 – Briefcase

You’ll always find $3000 in the briefcase, but if you didn’t blackmail Hong Shi at the end of the mission Assault Triad Headquarters in Slums, then you’ll also find dossier information on the CSP here.

Intel

  • Dossier information on the Chinese Secret Police. Purchasing this intel will expand your dossier on the CSP — a militant bureau of the People’s Republic of China intent on enforcing and protecting China’s interests.

  • Given your standing with Albatross, you could hire G22 to monitor your mission and provide support.
    • Note: This intel will only be available if you removed (or pretended to remove) the bugs at the end of the mission Investigate Warehouse District Data Trail.
    • If you purchase this intel, then a G22 operative will act as a “tour guide” and give you some tips for completing the mission.

  • Heck is available as a gun-for-hire should you need backup during your mission into the subway tunnels.

If you purchase this intel, then Heck will show up for one of the battles in the mission (when you first spot the courier near #5), and he’ll kill all of the bad guys for you.

Intercept Assassination Plans

You’ll start out the mission at a subway terminal (#1), but almost right away Omen Deng will apprehend you and lock you in a maintenance tunnel (#2). Deng will then leave, but the CSP will decide that confinement is too good for you, and they’ll send some guys to take you out. After dealing with them, you’ll just need to continue on with your mission — to locate the package that Mina is tracking for you.

As you make your way through the subway tunnels, you’ll have to deal with several more CSP officers, and you’ll also run into some subway security guards. You can deal with the CSP in any way you see fit, but the security guards are not considered bad guys, and so if you kill them, then you’ll lose reputation with Mina.

Eventually, you’ll spot the courier with the package (near #5 and #6), and then the chase will be on. All of the CSP officers from this point on will be “red,” so you won’t be able to sneak up on them. Instead, you’ll just have to fight your way through them as you follow the package. A subway train will come through the tunnel during this time, and so it won’t be safe to stay on the tracks.

At an intersection in the tunnel (#8), you’ll finally catch up to the courier, and he’ll finally decide to stop and fight. He’ll taunt you — “I may die but so will you!” — and he’ll throw an Incendiary Bomb at you, but he shouldn’t be particularly tough to kill. However, at the same time, another train will start coming down the tracks, and you’ll have to evade it. There are two ways to do this. You can run through the fire from the bomb and flip the switch next to the courier, or you can return the way you came and quickly pick the lock on a nearby door (#7).

After the mission, when you return to your safehouse, Mina will attempt to extract the data from the flash drive you recovered from the courier. However, the flash drive will begin reformatting itself during the process, and Mina will only be able to decrypt one file — either the plans for Ronald Sung’s assassination, or plans to cause a riot that might kill hundreds of people. You’ll have to pick which file Mina decrypts, which means you’ll have to choose between saving Sung (and eventually earning the Secret Service perk) or saving hundreds of people (and eventually earning the Keeping the Peace perk). There isn’t a right answer for this, so just choose whichever one seems best to you.
