Herbology Class – Hogwarts Legacy Quest


This walkthrough will take you through the main quest “Herbology Class”, including finding the classroom, successfully learning how to use the Potting Table, and learning how to use plants in battle.

How to Find the Herbology Class

Once you’re assigned this quest, you’ll need to make your way to the Herbology Class. Hit button xbox dpad upand a shining gold thread will guide you to class.

Attend Herbology Class

Make your way to the Greenhouse, then go downstairs and out the door. Continue forward while staying left of the large tree, and hit playstation square button/button xbox x v2 to enter the Herbology classroom. Once the cutscene’s over, hold playstation x button/button xbox a v2 to pull a Mandrake out of its pot. Shortly after, you will have to press xbox button left stick down to put it in a new pot.

Unlocking the Potting Table

Once the Mandrake has been successfully moved, make your way to Professor Garlick and speak to her. Afterwards, make your way to your Potting Table (it will have a marker on top of it), and plant your Dittany seed. You will now have permenant access to the Potting Table.

Using a Chinese Chomping Cabbage

After a brief cutscene, walk up the stairs and speak to Leander Prewett, then follow him to a Chinese Chomping Cabbage. Pick one up with playstation x button/button xbox a v2, then open the Tool Wheel and select the Chinese Chomping Cabbage. Once equipped, tap playstation l1 button/button xbox leftbumper to toss it at the training dummy. Once it finishes attacking the dummy, make your way back to Professor Garlick.

Once you finished talking to her, you’ll have completed this quest! Next up will be the Potions Class.
