Potting Table Guide – Hogwarts Legacy

In Hogwarts Legacy, the Herbology Class will not be the only place where you can exercise your green thumb! Luckily for us, we can also grow some plants for our potions in the Room of Requirement! The Potting Table is quickly going to become one of your favorite tools in Hogwarts Legacy, since it lets you grow useful and rare plants that you can either sell, brew into potions, or even use against dangerous creatures and Dark Wizards.

(Bonus feature: we won’t need to endure destruction to our eardrums from Mandrakes when we harvest them at the Potting Table.)

How to Access the Potting Table

Accessing your Potting Table will be quite easy! All you have to do is learn the Conjuring Spell from Professor Weasley (during The Room of Requirement quest) and head to the Room of Requirement. Once there, you will be able to place your Potting Table in whichever part of the room you desire.

To do so, you will have to select your Conjuring Spell from your Spell Slots, go to the Herbology tab, and select your desired Potting Table just like in the image shown above. A special UI interface will open up which allows you to place the Potting Table in whichever part of the Room of Requirement you want, and then let you fully customize its theme.

Personalizing Your Potting Table

After placing your Potting Table, you can further customize it to create a specific theme for your Room of Requirement. This option will come up as soon as you select a spot for your Potting Table.

In addition to the first Potting Table blueprint (called Spellcraft in the game) that you will be granted during your first visit to Hogsmeade, you will want to pay a visit to Tomes and Scrolls again to acquire different Potting Table Spellcrafts to be able to grow even more plants.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can also use Fertilizer to increase the efficiency of your Potting Table. Fertilizer will reduce the growth duration of a plant. Typically, small plants will take 10 minutes to grow, while larger plants will take 15 minutes. You do not have to wait in the Room of Requirement for the Plants to grow.
