Parts of Hogwarts Legacy’s Art Book Appear to Have Leaked

In a clear bid to get some online clout, Twitter user Bigby has leaked what look like pages from the Hogwarts Legacy official art book. While we’ve been unable to confirm or deny the veracity of the leak, it certainly looks to be legit, with lots of high quality images containing in-game maps, descriptions of characters, and drawings of creatures from the Harry Potter universe.

It will be interesting to see how long the leak remains up on Twitter — since the site’s recent change in ownership, there’s been a fair bit of inconsistency in terms of censorship and Tweet removals. For now, however, the leak remains visible, and all the images from the leak have already been uploaded to Imgur as well.

Among the interesting tidbits that can be gleaned from the leak are a number of magical creatures, some of which we weren’t sure would make an appearance in Hogwarts Legacy. The art book contains a Phoenix, Kneazles, as well as a specific type of dragon, Hebridean Black — to name just a few. The leak also contains an image of the game’s inventory system, confirming that we can indeed equip scarves in addition to robes, gloves, glasses, and hats.

Additionally, the art book leak contains images of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade decorated for Christmas. While we already knew the game would include changes in the season, this is — as far as we can recall — the first we’ve seen of holidays in-game. It would be incredible if Hogwarts was decorated for multiple holidays, although just because something in the art book doesn’t mean it ended up in the game; it’s important to remember that a lot of concept art remains in the concept phase. Still, it’s certainly possible, and who knows — perhaps there will even be some holiday related side-quests that appear only at during seasons.

While it’s nice to get a sneak peek at the art book, it is a bummer how difficult it gets to avoid spoilers, even before the game is out. Let us know what you think of the leak in the comments below!
