Reward: Control over a submarine to navigate the grand canal

This quest is in the Grand Canal on Tekron. There wasn’t an in-game map to this place so you’ll have to make due with notes for these next three quests; they’re simple anyway. Some say you need to speak with Ballas first about the submarine, then exit and come back to him to complete the quest. Not sure if that’s true but doesn’t hurt to try. In any case, I don’t think I did in my game.

1 – Grand Canal Entrance

When first entering the Grand Canal, you’ll find Ballas by the water. Completing this quest is really a matter of trial and error with the Submarine, and a teeny bit of common sense. First, ask Ballas about the Submarine. When he allows you to try it out, fill the ballasts completely, put down the periscope, do not hit the red button, set engine to idle, and hit start. Now you have a submarine (and a completed quest that counts for your total).
