Agebinium Overview

Agebinium is located in the Amazon system of the Voyager cluster. Even if you don’t have the “Investigate Shipments” assignment obtained from a terminal on Feros, the “UNC: Espionage Probe” assignment will trigger after Admiral Hackett asks you to track down a 20-kiloton nuke-equipped probe. If you did have the original assignment, then it just changes names.

1 – Arrival

This desolate planet is quite cold by human standards, but it won’t pose any hazard risk to you or your squad should you exit the Mako.

2 – Samarium Deposit

Survey this Samarium deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Rare Earths” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

3 – Magnesium Deposit

Survey this Magnesium deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Light Metals” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

4 – Espionage Probe

From the looks of it, someone actually moved the probe into these mining tunnels. The mine is unoccupied, so you can simply run to the back room where the probe is being kept. When you approach it, a detonator triggers elsewhere in the mine and a holographic image of someone named Elanos Haliat appears before you. The guy introduces himself as the previous “leader” of the Terminus Clans and the one who attacked Elysium earlier in the protagonist’s career.

You’re apparently the one responsible for the attack’s failure, so Elanos has set a trap for you. In just a matter of seconds, the nuclear warhead on the probe will detonate. You’ll have to approach each of the probe’s three hardpoints and manually disable them using a slower moving version of the standard recovery/decryption mini-game. Once the probe is no longer a threat, you can leave the mine using the alternate exit in the room on the east side. This brings you to area #5.

5 – Mercenary Camp

After emerging from the mining tunnels having disabled the nuke-equipped probe, you’ll be on a high ledge overlooking a camp with Elanos Haliat and his men moving about (you’ll also spy your Mako, which they pirates have apparently stolen). If you’re proficient with sniper rifles, pick them off from up here. Otherwise, run down and force feed them a little revenge. When they’re all dead, you will have completed the “UNC: Espionage Probe” assignment.

6 – Crashed Probe

A couple of upgrades can be salvaged from this downed probe.

7 – Beryllium Deposit

Survey this Beryllium deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Light Metals” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

8 – Scavenger Corpse

A quick search of this corpse uncovers a book of drawings, including one of the Syglar Outpost insignia. This is one of thirteen insignias you need for the “UNC: Turian Insignias” assignment.

9 – Corpse

This corpse might still wearing the remains of an expensive suit and melted aviator goggles, but there’s nothing of significance to be found here.
