Casbin Overview

Casbin is located in the Hong system of the Armstrong Nebula cluster. One of four Geth outposts that you need to eliminate as part of the “UNC: Geth Incursions” assignment can be found here.

1 – Arrival

It might be raining fire, but Casbin’s environment can be considered safe to your squad.

2 – Geth Outpost

A total of nine Geth Rocket Troopers and Geth Snipers are stationed in the guard towers around this outpost. Once they’ve all been picked off with the Mako’s cannon, a Geth Dropship will approach and deploy five Geth Shock Troopers. Eliminate both the ship and the troopers to successfully clear another one of the outposts for Admiral Hackett’s “UNC: Geth Incursions” assignment.

3 – Uranium Deposit

Survey this Uranium deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Rare Earths” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

4 – Samarium Deposit

Survey this hard-to-reach Samarium deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Rare Earths” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

5 – Gold Deposit

Survey this Gold deposit to get one step closer to finishing the “Heavy Metals” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment and to earn a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

6 – Geth Resistance

Three Geth Armatures and three Geth Heavy Turrets guard what appears to be some Husk-creating devices. Other than that, there is nothing else here.

7 – Crashed Probe

More upgrades can be salvaged from this downed space probe.

8 – Beacon

Buried underneath this beacon is an identification tag for Captain Thein, which is one of three ID tags that you need for the “UNC: Locate Signs of Battle” assignment.
