Eden Prime: Spaceport Overview

1 – Arrival

As the cargo train arrives from Eden Prime: Surface, you’ll be shown a cutscene of Saren ordering the Geth to set a number of explosive charges in an attempt to destroy the Eden Prime colony and wipe out any evidence that they were here. The Geth promptly get to work, after which Saren walks up and appears to “use” the strange Prothean beacon.

Your goal here is to disarm four demolition charges in less than 5 minutes, while also fending off the Geth resistance left behind by Saren. Time to move.

2 – Demolition Charge #1

Quickly disarm this first charge, then move up the nearby ramp to make your way to the next one.

3 – Demolition Charge #2

A second charge to disarm.

4 – Demolition Charge #3

A third charge to disarm.

5 – Geth Shock Troopers and Snipers

You’ll have your first encounter with Geth Shock Troopers and Geth Snipers as you try to make your way across this long stretch of platform. If you’re having any trouble with them, remember that you can send your squad mates in first. You’re the commander here, right?

6 – Demolition Charge #4

The fourth and final demolition charge to disarm.

7 – Crate

Search this unlocked crate for a fistful of credits and a couple of random weapons and armor.

8 – Geth Troopers and Husks

As you approach this area, you’ll come under attack by two Geth Troopers and two Husks.

9 – Technician Kit

Stowed away in this corner is a technician kit containing a couple of random upgrades.

10 – Crate

Some more credits, weapons, and armor can be looted from this crate.

11 – Storage Locker

Decrypt this locker to earn another pair of random items and more credits.

12 – Storage Locker

Decryption will be needed to get to the contents of this storage locker, as well.

13 – Prothean Beacon

As you move closer to investigate the Prothean beacon, Ashley (if you’re a male Shepard) or Kaidan (if you’re a female Shepard) will get too close to it and will trigger some sort of security field and subsequently begin convulsing with energy. Your character will save them, but by doing so the Prothean beacon will send some kind of strange message directly into your brain and then explode (due to some type of system overload). Shepard will fall to the ground unconscious and you’ll be shown a cutscene of the “mother ship” you witnessed earlier sailing through the galaxy with both Saren and someone listed as “The Matriarch” aboard it. When Saren learns that the colony has been saved and that a human may have used the beacon, he flies into a rage and declares that you must be “eliminated.”

At the conclusion of the cutscene, you’ll awaken aboard the Normandy again under the care of Doctor Chakwas.
