Feros: ExoGeni (Upper) Overview

1 – Arrival

If you’re looking for Gavin’s data, then you’ll want to explore the east side of the ExoGeni facility’s upper level first.

2 – Krogan

Fight your way through these three nasty Krogan to reach the console and locker at the end of the room.

3 – Gavin Hossle’s Console

If you picked up the “Feros: Data Recovery” assignment from Gavin Hossle back on the Feros: Prothean Skyway map, then you can download the data from this console and place it on the OSD he gave you. There is also a secure storage locker nearby that you can decrypt for some more loot.

4 – Second Arrival

If you already have Gavin’s data (or didn’t pick up the assignment), then your next destination is the west wing of the facility’s upper level.

5 – Secure Crate

As usual, decrypt and loot.

6 – Geth Resistance

Two Geth Troopers, a Geth Shock Trooper, a Geth Sniper, and a Geth Sapper await you in this chamber.

7 – ExoGeni Terminal

Once this terminal is decrypted, you’ll discover a confidential report that describes some test samples that were expected to arrive from a research facility, but they never showed up. This triggers the “Investigate Facility” assignment, which will take you to the planet of Nodacrux in the Vostok system of the Maroon Sea cluster.

8 – Geth Ship Claw

Another claw from the latched-on Geth ship protrudes through the shuttle bay door along the south wall. This one, however, can be severed. To do so, you’ll need to use the door control at area #13 to reach a PSI between 31-34. Within that range, the door will slam shut, the claw will be severed, and the Geth ship will be kicked off the side of the facility.

9 – Geth Resistance

This area is heavily guarded by a couple of Geth Shock Troopers, a Geth Sniper, a Geth Rocket Trooper, a Geth Trooper, a Geth Ghost, and a Geth Destroyer. Prepare accordingly.

10 – Secure Crate

Decrypt this crate to add some more items to your inventory.

11 – Geth Terminal

With some advanced decryption skills (or lots of Omni-gel), you can retrieve some data from this console that reveals plans for a “major offensive” by the Geth in Citadel space. This triggers the “Geth Activities” assignment, which will wind up taking you to an assortment of systems and planets within the Armstrong Nebula cluster.

12 – Server Node

Don’t stop decrypting just yet. Punch into this server node to discover the private log of one Dr. Gamorle, which in turn triggers the “Investigate Samples” assignment. You’ll be visiting the planet of Chasca in the Matano system of the Maroon Sea cluster to determine what the Cerberus group is and what the samples were being sent for.

13 – Shuttle Bay Door Control

Attached to this console is a repair ticket that claims that “the damn door” to the shuttle bay (at area #8) is on the fritz. According to the ticket, the door works fine when its PSI is 30 or lower and the safety shut-off activates if the PSI climbs above 34. However, in the 31-34 PSI range, the door apparently slams down with “enough power to shear through a metal I-beam.” That’s pretty convenient considering that one of the Geth ship’s “claws” are sticking through it.

Use the five valves to the left to achieve a PSI of 31-34. The only method I can see to achieve this is to hit the 7 PSI valve, the 11 PSI valve, and the 13 PSI valve. With that combination locked in, activate the main switch again and watch as the shuttle bay door slams down on the Geth “claw” and cuts it in half. This causes the Geth ship to rip free from the side of the building and crash to the ground far below. It also causes the energy field on the lower level to dissipate and earns you a nice experience reward.

At this point, Joker will come across your radio to report that the Zhu’s Hope colonists are banging on the hull of the Normandy and trying to claw their way into the ship. Apparently the infection from the Thorian’s spores is finally starting to show some undesirable results. Time to move.

14 – Secure Crate

Grab the loot from inside this crate before heading back to the eastern stairs at area #4.
