Metgos Overview

Metgos is located in the Hydra system of the Argus Rho cluster. Even if you don’t have the “Unusual Readings” assignment obtained from a computer console on Citadel Station, the “UNC: Distress Call” assignment will trigger when the Normandy receives a distress call from the planet. If you did have the original assignment, then it just changes names.

1 – Arrival

After boarding the Mako and dropping from the Normandy, you and your squad will be free to explore Metgos from this starting location. Keep in mind that this is a Level 2 Hazard planet, so don’t leave your vehicle for any extended periods of time.

2 – Turian Corpse

Search this corpse to recover an old letter stamped with the Gothis Colony insignia. This gets you one step closer to completing the “UNC: Turian Insignias” assignment.

3 – Crashed Probe

Salvage what’s left of this crashed probe to earn a couple of new upgrades.

4 – Mercury Deposit

Not only will a successful survey of this Mercury deposit bring you one step closer to finishing the “Heavy Metals” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment, but it will also earn you a reasonable amount of experience and credits.

5 – Geth Trap

You’ll soon realize that the distress signal being sent up to the Normandy was just a gimmick used to bait you into a surprise attack by the Geth. Among their ranks are a few Geth Rocket Troopers, two Geth Rocket Drones, and two Geth Armatures. Sneaky bastards.

6 – Thorium Deposit

Not only will a successful survey of this Thorium deposit bring you one step closer to finishing the “Rare Earths” section of the “UNC: Valuable Minerals” assignment, but it will also earn you a reasonable amount of experience and credits.
