MSV Ontario Overview

The MSV Ontario is a derelict freighter currently floating around Farinata system of the Hades Gamma cluster. The chairman of the Parliament Subcommittee on Transhuman Studies is being held captive by fanatical biotics here and freeing him will complete the “UNC: Hostage” assignment.

1 – Arrival

Once on board the freighter, you’ll immediately notice hostiles on the northeastern section of your radar. Proceed with caution.

2 – Crate

Grab the contents inside this crate before the firefight begins.

3 – Biotic Terrorists

This large chamber is crawling with crazed biotics determined to you and your squad. When they realize the ship has been boarded, they call out to “kill the hostage” which effectively gives you three minutes to take out all resistance and reach area #.

4 – Crate

For some reason, this crate seems to have a higher chance of containing some of the game’s better items.

5 – Biotic Leader

Assuming you met the three minute deadline, you’ll arrive at this room just as the biotic leader is about to execute Chairman Burns. Apparently Burns voted against reparations for those biotics suffering side effects from the L2 chips and now the biotics feel like they have no choice but to kill the man.

Unless you want to see the man take a bullet through the skull and fight the last few remaining biotics, you’ll want to attempt to calm the biotic leader down. A successful Charm (“You need Burns!”) or Intimidate (“Don’t be stupid.”) line will do the trick and lead to the biotics’ full surrender on the Chairman’s word that he will take another look at the reparations. This will earn you several Paragon or Renegade points, depending on which option you took.

After patting yourself on the back, loot the locked crate and secure storage locker in this room before moving on to the rest of the ship.

6 – Secure Crate

Plunder this crate to add even more items to your ever-growing inventory.

7 – Malfunctioning Object

The last of the MSV Ontario’s free loot can be found inside this container.
