A Pair of Lords of EverQuest Previews

Two previews have surfaced for Sony’s Lords of EverQuest, the RTS/RPG hybrid inspired by the best-selling MMORPG. The first is at HomeLan Fed:

Lords of Everquest is a great looking and playing game already but the big question is whether or not loyal Everquest fans and fans of RTS games in general will try out yet another fantasy RTS game. Based on playing this near final beta, Lords of Everquest takes everything that has worked in games like Warcraft III and adds a few new twists and combining that with the already huge Everquest universe setting and a great looking graphics engine should make this game something to look forward to. The folks at Rapid Eye and Sony Online are hoping both Everquest fans and RTS gamers will give their new title a try when the final version of the game begins to ship to stores in early December.

And the second is at Solinari Gaming:

Lord of Everquest supposedly presents one of the most advanced 3D engines in an RTS game. There’s no denying it, this game looks great, from the ripples in the water to the units and the structures, everything has a very polished look to it so far. But, the graphics aren’t so spectacular that we haven’t seen them before in other 3D RTS games like C&C Generals, which looks equally amazing. Hopefully, by the release, we’ll see enough graphical enhancement to push LOE ahead of the rest of the pack.
