AO Phase 3 Commencing Soon

Probably the next major MMORPG to be hitting the shelves (the first since Asheron’s Call), sci-fi based in another world, Anarchy Online’s 3rd beta phase is about to begin in a couple weeks and the developer journal over at the AOVault gives detailed info about what we can expect it to focus on. Information a little like this:

In Beta III there will be fully working missions, quests and auto- generated content. The system for auto-generated content is the second of four iterations, where the current beta is using the first iteration. The messaging system is rewritten, and the group chat is improved. There is a slightly changed character creation procedure, where you end up in an apartment of your own, with a personal keycard for the door. Our PQA department will continue tweaking and testing of the game.

There will also be about 5000 testers participating as opposed to the 600 in phase 2.
