Arcania: Gothic 4 and Fall of Setarrif Expansion Released on GOG

Arcania: Gothic 4 was publisher JoWood and developer Spellforce Studios’ attempt to broaden the Gothic IP’s appeal with a different, less punishing gameplay style. As far as I remember, the game was met tepidly, by critics and audiences alike, but even so, I’m sure there are people that would still like to try it, and so it’s probably a good thing that THQ Nordic released the game on GOG together with its expansion Fall of Setarrif.

The game costs $19.99 while the expansion is $14.99, but they’re both currently significantly discounted and 75% off. Personally, I never played the full version of Arcania, but the demo left me completely unenthused. In other words, I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you’re already out of third-person action-RPGs to play.
