Asheron’s Call 2 Editorial

A new article on GamerFeed discusses the present and future of Asheron’s Call 2 and includes commentary from Turbine’s Jason Wanacott, Jessica Mulligan, and Lorien Carney. Check it out:

Last September, Turbine introduced a Hero System with their large update. Soon, they will be releasing a newer version of the crafting system that will allow spells to be ripped off of found items and imbued into new ones. To our knowledge, no other game on the market currently supports a similar system.

Yet, even with all the creativity and support, the question still lingers: What separates this massively-multiplayer fantasy role-playing game from a popular title like EverQuest? The answer came easily. It’s the gameplay and the community. AC2 prides itself on being easy to pick up and play, making it the ideal title for people who are new to RPG’s and MMOG’s in general. Players can level up quickly, quests provide great rewards, and groups can easily help lower-level players progress.
