Baldur’s Gate III Gameplay Reveal Livestream

Larian Studios showcased a good hour and a half of pre-alpha gameplay footage for Baldur’s Gate III at this year’s PAX East. During the presentation, Larian’s boss Swen Vincke played through the game’s opening section while narrating everything he did. As a result, we got to check out a couple of impressive-looking introductory cutscenes, a few battles, some spell effects, a bunch of environmental interactions, and more.

The whole thing looked more like a very expensive Divinity: Original Sin mod than a new Baldur’s Gate game to be honest, but that alone doesn’t preclude it from being a potentially fun RPG. See for yourself:
