Beamdog Update, Infinity Engine Enhanced Edition Soundtracks Released

In a new update to the Beamblog, we learn that the team at Beamdog is hard at work on patches for their Enhanced Edition titles to support Apple’s plans to take their operating system to 64-bit territory with iOS 11, and that soundtracks for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition are now available from both Beamdog.com and GOG.com. A bit of what they had to say:

By popular demand, the official soundtracks for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition are now available on Beamdog.com and GOG. Act quick to get the soundtracks on sale on Steam, Beamdog, and (soon!) GOG!

So what have we been up to this month? Patch 3.1.3 was released for Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition, fixing bugs reported by the community. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback about the patch and are continuing to listen to what fans are saying about the game and what bugs they find.

Earlier in the month, we sent out a survey to our mailing list of Siege of Dragonspear: Collector’s Edition owners and the feedback we got back was invaluable. We’re still going through all the comments but from what we’ve seen, we’re sure your suggestions will absolutely help shape any future collector’s editions we create in the future.

Enhanced Edition owners on Steam were treated to a surprise last week when we released trading cards for our pre-PST:EE games. Since then we’ve seen an amazing number of messages from happy collectors and even a few reports of completed badges!

The team is continuing work on the iOS patches which include 64-bit support. With iOS 11 coming this fall, getting patches out to ensure owners of Enhanced Edition games on iTunes can continue to play their adventures is one of our top priorities. We’ll have more to share on these patches soon.

The Beamdog Client will also be seeing a patch in the near future fixing several reported issues and adding localization for Spanish and Italian users.
