Beta Testing of Dark Age of Camelot Begins in South Korea

    FAIRFAX, VA – MAY 2nd, 2002 – Mythic Entertainment (www.mythicentertainment.com), creator of the award winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Dark Age of CamelotÔ, in conjunction with Buff Entertainment, today announced that the game has entered the first phase of beta testing in South Korea. Dark Age of Camelot, the fastest selling pay-for-play MMORPG in the history of online gaming, is developed by Mythic Entertainment and co-published with Abandon Entertainment (www.abandonent.com).

    Journalists and more than five thousand eager MMORPG fans that pre-registered at www.daoc.co.kr when the beta test was announced are already venturing into the Realms of Dark Age of Camelot on to first of the planned South Korean servers. The second phase of the beta testing, utilizing Korean language servers, will continue until the highly anticipated late summer 2002 launch.

    Buff Entertainment will handle the distribution of Dark Age of Camelot as well as all online hosting and community management. Dark Age of Camelot will be translated into Korean, and customer support as well as community management will be handled in Korean to ensure the best support and quality of service.

    Dark Age of Camelot was recently recognized with multiple Online Game of the Year awards. The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences presented the game with the Massive Multiplayer/Persistent World Game of the Year. It also received the Online Game of the Year award from the editors of Computer Gaming World and Computer Games magazines.
