Bethesda Hiring for “Unannounced Game On Future-Generation Consoles”

Bethesda Game Studios has just published a a job post for “experienced programmers” to work on an “unannounced game on future-generation consoles”:

Bethesda Game Studios is looking for experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles.

Requirements

‘¢ At least 5 years of game development experience with multiple titles shipped
‘¢ Extensive experience programming and optimizing for the Xbox 360 and PS3
‘¢ Experience with DirectX 11 a plus
‘¢ Passion for making GREAT games, and being part of a GREAT team
‘¢ Ability to contribute innovative ideas towards all aspects of game development
‘¢ Must create amazing things with minimal oversight
‘¢ Experience playing Bethesda Game Studios games a plus

While there’s no indication of what the game is, Bethesda’s internal studio has been focusing on The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises pretty much exclusively since the release of Oblivion, and “experience playing Bethesda Game Studios games” is listed as a plus, making it very likely to be the next iteration of one of their two franchises, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Furthermore, considering The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been released relatively recently and we already know that it’s going to be supported with downloadable content in the long run, chances are the title will be Fallout 4, making Skyrim the last title developed by Bethesda for this generation of consoles.
