Camelot Grab Bag Q&A

In this week’s Grab Bag Q&A for Dark Age of Camelot, EA Mythic’s Sanya Thomas answers questions about savage weapon restrictions, moving tradeskills between characters, and more.

Q: Which expansions will I need to take part in all the phases of the Dragon’s Revenge live campaign?

A: We’re only going to have the events in the classic zones for this campaign. For future campaigns, I really couldn’t say. because we really haven’t designed them yet.

Here’s more information, from Boss Rob:

(Campaigns are six month long story arcs of dynamic content. During the six month period, new content is added every two weeks to help further the storyline.

The content is available to anyone with an active account, so there is no need to purchase an expansion to enjoy any of it.

(As with the story arc in (A Dragon’s Revenge,) various expansion elements may be used within the story in terms of furthering a plot line, but players will never be forced to journey into an expansion area. All campaigns are centered in the Classic lands, which may also include parts of Shrouded Isles.

(Through these campaigns we hope to revitalize and update old zones that are not used as much any more. The content provided may be focused towards specific level ranges while at the same time provide involvement for all level ranges. This first campaign, for example, is mainly geared towards higher level characters, as they involve the dragons. There are elements and quests within the arc, however, in which all level ranges are able to participate.

(Key elements that we want to provide with this new content are new lore, new quest content, new encounters, new trade skill recipes, new role-play items, new gear and new art for all of the above.)
