City of Heroes Review

Preys World has tossed up a review of City of Heroes, giving the superhero MMORPG an overall score of 4/5. Here’s a snip about combat:

Combat in City of Heroes will seem very familiar to those who have played RPG games in the same vein as Knight of The Old Republic, with you manually selecting a target, but all attacks being carried out automatically. The system is very simple and easy to get to grips with, but could fail to hold the attention of those more used to an action orientated game. Each attack has a base set of values, such as damage, accuracy, endurance use, recharge time etc. and these can be changed using enhancements. However, there is a slight snag. These enhancements can only be fitted in slots, and each power only starts with one, but after reaching an odd numbered level, you are rewarded with the opportunity to attach 2 more slots to any power you wish, and then these slots can then be fitted with more enhancements.
