Cult Classic Platformer Bubble Bobble Gets Exclusive Nintendo Switch Sequel

There aren’t many games more synonymous with the 80’s and 90’s than Bubble Bubble. So, as a now middle aged gamer, there’s a sheer childlike joy in hearing the news that after 10 years, Nintendo Switch players are able to get their hands on a sequel, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends in Europe on November 19 2019 with the US following in the first quarter of next year.

Developed by the same people who brought you the original, TAITO Corporation, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends includes a brand new 4-player local multiplayer mode.

In the sequel, a child’s room becomes bathed in a magical light and everything the light touched comes to life, including the child’s favourite toy, a little dragon called Bub. Jealous over the attention Bub receives, the wicked wizard Baron von Blubba challenges the dragon to battle.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends includes all the platform jumping and dodging goodness that the first game, had but with the new 4-way multiplayer mode, you can bring in your friends for even more fun.

“Bubble Bobble is an extremely popular title in Europe, so we decided to implement a pre-sale in Europe in conjunction with ININ Games and Strictly Limited Games. It is also the first internally developed title since Taito has re-entered the consumer market, and the development team is thrilled to be working on this famous IP. I deeply hope that many people will enjoy it” says Hiroshi Uemura, Executive Officer, Division Manager of Development, TAITO CORPORATION.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will be released on the Nintendo Switch in Europe on November 19 2019 with the US release in Quarter1 of 2020. More info can be found on the official website http://bubblebobble4friends.inin.games/
