Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs E3 Preview

Frictionless Insight has put together a preview of Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs, based upon what they saw of the ambitious expansion at this year’s E3. An excerpt:

Catacombs will also mark the first time that DAoC has introduced instanced dungeons private dungeons created explicitly for individuals or parties, that are not accessible to other players. This creates a pleasant alternative to queuing for a good room in an existing dungeon. As you might expect from such private adventuring spaces, the content can be customized to create a challenge appropriate for the adventuring party that enters. This means that Catacombs will have content designed for players of all levels. (At least, levels 5-50 everyone who has made it out of the areas for new characters.) Instanced dungeons should also make it easier for casual players to quickly find and finish adventures, as they will know where to go to adventure and won’t need to wander the landscape in search of surmountable challenges.
