Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin PC Pricing and Details, Livestream

Bandai Namco US has published a FAQ for the release of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin containing information on pricing (including the discount details for owners of the PC version of the original), system requirements, gameplay details and more. I imagine the discount is the most important information for many so I’m going to quote the details (though keep in mind that this information is only valid for American territories):

Please note – These details are for North and South American territories.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be $59.99 on Xbox One and PS4. If you are purchasing on Steam, you can check the details below:

  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (DirectX9): $39.99
  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (DirectX11): $49.99
  • DirectX11 Upgrade price for existing owners of Dark Souls II on Steam: $29.99
  • DirectX11 Upgrade price for existing owners of Dark Souls II and all DLC on Steam: $19.99

It looks like PC owners will be able to buy the game early too, as it will be released on April 1st rather than 7th:

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 digitally and at retailers on April 7th, 2015. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available on Steam on April 1st, 2015 at 3:00 PM PST.

Finally, given the system requirements are not terribly different from the original title (besides obviously requiring DirectX 11 for the DX11 version), I’m going to quote a reminder of what this re-release/remaster of the game contains:
