Darkspore Back on Steam

After briefly disappearing from the Steam store, Maxis’ allegedly mediocre action-RPG Darkspore is available for purchase on Valve’s digital delivery service again.

Through an announcement on the official forums, the Maxis’ team has pledged continued support to the now 2-year-old title, and claimed that the connectivity issue plaguing the game lately (and speculated to be the cause of Steam’s delisting of the title) has been fixed:

7/1/13: Welcome to the Darkspore forums. Thanks for supporting the game. We recently resolved an issue that was causing some players to not be able to connect to the game. If you any encounter any other issues, please contact help.ea.com for customer support. We will continue to support Darkspore, so feel free to continue to discuss the game here. Thanks Maxis.

I suppose I also have to apologize for doubting that the game’s issues were the cause of the momentary disappearance of the title from the Steam store, as these development show that it was, indeed, the culprit.
