Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut Coming to PC, Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360

While we haven’t received the full press release yet, you need only to look at the frontpages of websites such as IGN to know that the news is official: the updated re-release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, dubbed Director’s Cut, which includes revamped boss fights with multiple paths and better graphics among other things, will be released on PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 “later this year”.

“After our Director’s Cut announcement we received an overwhelming response from the community asking us to bring this ultimate edition of human revolution to other platforms,” said Stéphane D’Astous, General Manager of developer Eidos-Montreal in the press release. “You asked for this!”

So far it’s not clear if this re-release will be a separate version of the game or if it will be released as some kind of DLC. Some of the additions do seem a bit ambitious for a DLC, especially considering the re-release seamlessly integrates the original Human Revolution campaign and The Missing Link, so this might well be a complete re-release. That’s only speculation on my part, though.
