Deus Ex: Invisible War Previews

Console Gold has put together a preview of Deus Ex: Invisible War, Ion Storm’s sequel to the game that won numerous Game of the Year awards. Check it out:

The team at Ion Storm Austin have definitely made a game that is sure to impress. Will it redefine the genre again? I have my doubts about that, but I can assure you that behind all this choice and option, you have a fantastic story full of twists, turns, and misdirection to keep you busy for a long long while.

In addition, Next Level Gaming has written one up as well:

Deus Ex ships on December 3rd. Shortly after that, we will receive our final copies and will be allowed to give you the full review. But the preview build we’ve been playing for the better part of two weeks gives us an indication of how solid and well designed Invisible War is. I would almost venture to liken it to a FPS version of Lucasart’s Knights of the Old Republic. Not necessarily in point to point quality, but more in the type of game DX 2 is. You really are not just a player in a linear “solve A to get to B” game. You choose what side to fight on. You choose how to fight. You choose how the game is played. And that is what an award winning game is made of. We’ll be back in a little while to let you know whether or not the game is the award winner the first one was. In the meantime, we have plenty of screenshots for you. And on Monday, we will begin our Biomod briefings.
